Ashi Ginga Swedish Stainless Petty 150mm
$150.00
Description
If you ask anyone in the Japanese knife community, I doubt you will find anyone who doesn't think highly of Ashi knives if they've had the pleasure of using one. While they feature a no-nonsense finish on their blades with simple, but elegant, vertical hairline migaki finish, their cutting experience is top tier among lasers. These knives punch well above their weight class based on price point, but are often overlooked due to their appearance. This knife is actually from my own collection, I have too many Petty knives and this is a piece I am excited to find a new owner because of how exceptional the cutting experience is. Ashi Hamono is located in Sakai and they run the entire process in-house, from the heat treatment of the steel to the making and fitting of the handles. The quality control is excellent because of their ability to control the process from start to finish. Their Swedish stainless steel is one of the best stainless steel knives I have had to pleasure of using.
